Birmingham Town Hall - February 1st 2008

South Birmingham Sinfonia performed at the newly refurbished Town Hall in a charity concert "Fabulous Fables" sponsored by Tyndallwoods Solicitors.

  • L Lucas (arr L Differ): "The Magic Jigsaw" - From a story by Edward Dent (Premier)

Over 1000 people present shared in the extraordinary occasion that was the premier of the choral work The Magic Jigsaw.
All those present then heard from The Lady Mayoress, Sandra Brew, as she outlined the wonderful work of Martin White and his team of staff and volunteers at Edward House, a home from home for families whose children are undergoing treatment for serious illness at the Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Over £6000 was given to St Mary's Hospice and Edward's trust from ticket sales and donations made at the concert.
